How to Update CMS (WordPress Core) Version

The WordPress Core version can be updated directly from WatchTowerHQ in a single click.

Updating WordPress Core

If a WordPress Core update is available, an alert will pop up on the WatchTowerHQ dashboard. You can click this link to be taken directly to the update.

Otherwise, click on the Websites link in the blue navigation bar at the top of the page.

Click on the name of a website that has an available WP core update.

Notice the CMS Version space under the Overview tab. The CMS version will populate the space and if the site does not require an update then an "Up to date" status will appear.

If the CMS version is not up to date, then a yellow "Update to {version number}" button will appear. Click on the yellow button to update WordPress Core.
